Utopia Register of Nominees to Government Bodies

The Utopia Register of Nominees to government bodies is a confidential list of people interested in serving on government boards, committees and statutory authorities.

The register is used to search for new members when a position becomes available.

Who can join the register?

All Utopians can join the register and be considered for a position. However, joining the register does not guarantee you will be appointed to a position.

We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, people with expertise in multiculturalism, young people and people with disabilities to join. This contributes to diversity in the boardroom, and can add different perspectives and approaches that have positive outcomes.

How are people appointed?

When a government-nominated position becomes vacant, government agencies search the register for people with skills to suit the position.

If you are selected, you will be contacted directly by the government agency responsible for the vacancy.
